What kind of hardware do you use for kmp development? What would you say are the minimum and what the suggested specs for comfortable development? Is it possible to use a MacBook air or does it need to be a pro?

I run Linux on a mid-range HP ProBook laptop from 2021, and it's plenty enough for KMP development.

I obviously don't target iOS, but I think even the base M1 MacBook Air model would be more than enough to handle all your needs comfortably including using iOS/Android emulators. Any of the M-series MacBooks would not break a sweat.

You even could find used M1 Mac Mini machines for $400~$500, and they're just as good (if not better) than an M1 Air, if you don't need any portability, that is.

Most important thing is RAM - you should get at least 16GB of memory to work comfortably with Android emulators and iOS simulators
