👋 Hello, team! Wanted to ask, if I want to get started with open source contribution in the Kotlin community, where should we start ? Suggestions are all welcomed.

My advice, don’t contribute to some „random“ project but to a project you actually use. You might want to improve the docs, fix a (small) bug, or implement a long standing issue/feature. Already knowing the project/the domain helps a lot when contributing, and contributing to the source code also improves your usage as well.

Also, please always consider channel topics and names in open communities. This question is a bit off-topic in this channel. 😉

What Philip said!
Or in other words: If you happen to be an expert in image metadata, you should contribute to https://github.com/ashampoo/kim as I happen to have some open issues. 😄

In general you can look for open issues in open source projects of your interest and grab one.
If you fix one of the issues listed at https://github.com/JetBrains/skiko/issues you do us all a favour. 😉
