What do you think about renaming #io to kotlinx-io? We already have #kotlinx-datetime, #kotlinx-rpc, and #kotlinx-html. Admittedly we have #coroutines too 😅

Technically, coroutines are a standard library and language feature, it just happens to be further augmented by kotlinx.coroutines, but the barebones coroutines are still functional

I agree. Although most questions in that channel concern kotlinx.coroutines APIs. But yes the channel name makes sense IMO

I thought #io was about IO in general and, more specifically, about the <http://kotlin.io|kotlin.io> package as well as the <http://kotlinx.io|kotlinx.io> library. Having looked through that channel, it does seem to be (almost?) exclusively about <http://kotlinx.io|kotlinx.io> so I would favour renaming it.

While majority of questions asked in the #CKCAAV8VB channel recently were about kotlinx-io library, I believe that the channel should be considered as a place where any Kotlin-related I/O questions could be discussed. Thus, I vote for leaving the existing name as is.
