The Android Dev Perú 🇵🇪 community has used Kobweb to build a couple (open source) sites! • Conference landing: https://androidperu.dev/conf/en • Community site (no English yet, but coming soon): https://androidperu.dev All the code is hosted here: https://github.com/Android-Dev-Peru/website-kotlin. Feedback welcome!

These sites look great, thanks for sharing!

@David Herman thanks! Iwanted to thank you personally for all the great work on Kobweb. These more “profesional looking” sites have helped us land sponsors for our conference, which is crucial for a community driven, free for all event like the ones we do. And being Kotlin-first devs, Kobweb is exactly what we needed. We also had a meetup in April about Kobweb, and attendees all loved it, so hopefully we see more of these projects in the future!

You made my day!
Do you mind if I share these links in the Discord as well?

And K2 migration worked like a charm so thanks for that too! https://github.com/Android-Dev-Peru/website-kotlin/pull/43
Yes sure, feel free to share!

We have a prolific contributor who did almost all the work on K2, including the migration task. I think he'll see this comment here but I'll ping him to let him know we have a real case in the wild where the migration went smoothly

Really glad to hear about the sponsorships, that's so awesome. We also appreciate hearing that people loved using it.
If folks had any rough spots they ran into, questions that still haven't been answered, or other feedback or suggestions, please don't hesitate to let us know.

Nice UIs! If you have some spare time I'd recommend giving the choice of a bright/dark theme, to make them more accessible especially if you plan to add more text. There are people (me included) who cannot stare at bright light for a long time (thanks god Dark Reader exists) 😁
b
Late reply, but thanks a lot for the dark theme suggestion 🙌 I made dark theme the default and redesigned the page substantially after that ( check it out!) Also, @David Herman thanks a lot once again. The event went great, and the audience literally “wow’ed” when we told them the event site was built with Compose + Kobweb 🙂 one of our speakers also built his website with Kobweb, so hopefully we see more people in our community using it in the future!

No reply is too late. Always grateful to hear stuff like this!!
If the speaker ever wants to share his website here, he should feel more than welcome. We're really proud with everything the community is doing.
Your dark theme redesign looks fantastic Bruno 🤩
