i got the new mac keyboard (no num pad) with usb type c. theres no fn key on it though. lol. anyone know how to use fn key? i use the dedicated function row setting. so i kinda need the fn key. lol

It'll be the globe key if you have that. If not, I think you could use karabiner or something to bind the fn key to some key combo you want

It's weird that the globe key isn't working for that role. My understanding was that globe is neigh-equivalent to fn, so I'm surprised

Oh yeah btw, in settings you can make Caps lock (or any modifier) work as fn

Maybe if you rebind caps lock to fn and vice versa, the globe could still work as caps lock? (as in maybe the hold-down-while-pressing-another-button is unsupported for some reason, but single-press still works for it)

I did install Sequoia 15.1 (24B83) as of this morning and now the globe key works as a function key again. Phew!
