Is there an issue already for an Android plugin compatible with 2024.3? My Youtrack skills are failing me

well I can tell you from trying to use it today, just like the previous plugin release, it just continually causes ultimate to get into bad states so just don't even bother trying to use it. Maybe in six more months it'll be usable again (probably not)

I’ve been using it quite happily. Mostly for libs though so I use very little of the fancy stuff like previews, etc... I’m just surprised because I think it was working on the EAPs until the stable release... Not 100% sure though, I update everything all the time so I kind of lost track.

with a large KMP project I just have to leave it disabled, in 1-5 minutes it makes ultimate unusable and this update hasn't changed it. I have to use Studio if I need anything android which makes work very fun and not unnecessarily arduous at all as Studio complains about all the non android code and breaks the project in other ways 🙂

In all cases, I won’t bug other channels with this, I was mostly curious. I think I can live without for now. It’s just the scary red balloon (and yes, alll those missing facets 😅 )

I think, there is compatible with release android plugin on marketplace. Do you use 2024.3 stable or 2024.3 EAP?

@nebojsa.vuksic my issue was more about IntelliJ 2023.4 than Android Studio Ladybug Feature Drop Canary 5 but maybe they're related? (because sharing the IJ platform version?)
In general, do any of you know the right place to monitor the IJ android plugin? There is https://github.com/JetBrains/android but no issue tab there. Is there a dedicated component in Youtrack maybe? Or is that tracked in issuetracker.google.com?

@mbonnin What I meant is that we are working on publishing update of an IJ Android plugin with a support for the AGP 8.8.0-alpha5 (basically the same state as in the AS Ladybug FD Canary 5) for IDEA 2024.3 Best place to track updates of the IJ Android plugin is in our YouTrack and Marketplace itself where you can see available versions. Please track / report all of yours IJ Android plugin related issues in the YouTrack:

Hey everyone 👋 We published the Android plugin version. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to publish updates with an AS Ladybug Feature Drop Canary 5 changes, so the latest supported AGP version in a published Android plugin is still 
8.7.0-rc1
. Update with AS Ladybug Feature Drop Canary 5 will be released together with a next preview release of the IDEA (probably around 19.11).

Update: Downloading and installing a plugin zip file directly from the Marketplace is workaround for the issue. Please let me know if anyone experiences the similar problem in IJ Community or Ultimate.
