Just tested 2024.3.1 RC, this is still not fixed. All our projects are stuck on 2024.2.3 because newer versions can't run them anymore.

2025.1 EAP, still not fixed, and this has now been marked as a feature. I know first-hand about ~20 people who are still on 2024.2 due to this issue.
