Hello, once again trying to see if anybody found a workaround, an obscure IDE setting, or even an undocumented command line argument to stop IDEA from erroneously highlighting the entire function call when an argument is missing?

It was one of the more upvoted messages in this channel. It annoys everyone!

This is not an "inspection". As far as I know, this is an unconfigurable innate behavior of IntelliJ IDEA.

It's been like a year since this change happened. I cannot believe it doesn't bother anybody at JetBrains who could push for a fix.

If this behavior annoys you as well, please react to this message with an emoji or something. It can serve as a basis for a YouTrack ticket. The more reactions the better.
