..so will it be possible? I was told the hooks anvil needs are no longer there

My understanding is that some of the compiler API's in 1.X were not marked as deprecated then got removed in the Kotlin 2.0 release. I haven't heard anything to suggest that the Kotlin team isn't willing to help, it's just a matter of time

I'm unsure, I think like you I've passively kept up with it by frequenting the repo and seeing comments from maintainers either here or on Mastodon(androiddev.social).

We're hard at work on getting Kotlin 2.0 and K2 support in place, and see no blockers.
