Maybe the 1.7.3 release went out prematurely, but all of my projects are failing with
Cannot determine the version of Skiko for Compose '1.7.3'
Anyone else seeing that?
j
Usually they release the plugin to the proprietary Gradle plugin portal before all of the artifacts hit central so builds fail for half a day.
I saw a few failures and didn't bother looking at the error message. I can check if it's the same one you're seeing here in a bit.

See!
Mine was a different error, but we're not using Compose UI just the multiplatform core so that's probably why
e
Ah I raised this issue a few times in the past, and how it's a pain with Renovate / Dependabot, and the answer is always to wait until the release is announced. I hate open PRs though 😅
j
Or just get the portal out of your repo list. Except, of course, I swear they add it by default. Gotta lock in that ecosystem.
e
I usually add it explicitly because I publish some plugins there since there is no propagation delay.
j
Maven Central is 12 minutes. I'd rather wait 12 minutes and use an industry standard location than use their proprietary portal.
e
True but at 4am those 12 minutes might as well be 12 hours
j
At 4am it's irrelevant. Go to bed, merge the bump when you wake up
e
That's when I'm iterating on something that I'm working on, but good advice for that too 😄
j
I used to do that. Now I limit myself to "only" 2am. Kids wake up too early...
e
I experimented with going to sleep the same time as the kids and waking up at 4am to get a few uninterrupted hours, but they inexplicably started waking up at 4am as well...

2 am bros here lol, i noticed it even before coming here edit: theyve changed 1.7.2 release changelog to 1.7.3, maybe some issue with 1.7.2
