The first thing that comes to my mind is already on your roadmap: Kotlin Multiplatform :smile:

The second thing is that GPL for a library dramatically limits its uses. I publish my apps as GPL, but my libraries as Apache/MIT/BSD - because otherwise nobody gets to use them.

So, for now with Ashampoo Photo Organizer I will stay at <https://github.com/whyoleg/cryptography-kotlin> + some custom code for my JWT handling. I would exchange that for something more lightweight, but the license type must fit.
