I am hiring a Senior Android and a Staff Engineer at Fanatics App fanatics (my org, my team!).

We are looking for a Senior Engineer and Staff Engineer familiar with Compose and who has been working in Kotlin full time. No real specialty skills are required, but would prefer if the candidate has an eye for detail, design, and animation to supplement that part of the work I also lead with our Design System and Design library. The Fanatics app touches almost all of the lines of business under the Fanatics company and sub brands like Mitchell and Ness or even Lids from the Mall, even Topps Cards! Today, we are dropping exclusive Erin Andrews collection early on the App first! The Fanatics App brings together Free to Play sports games, live events, e-commerce, and new product experiences to deliver a new Sports platform.

🤝 Position: Senior Engineer (L5 eq.) and Staff Engineer (L6)
💰 Pay: $120k-$240k Base Salary (regional multipliers) + BONUS (%) in Cash + Pre-IPO Stock (Sr), $144,000 to $282,000 base for Staff with higher bonus percentage and more stock.

Requirements
3+ years of experience building highly scalable Android applications (Sr), 7+ for Staff
Experience with Kotlin as the primary development language
Team-first mentality, with a willingness to do what it takes to get the job done and a desire to strive for better

Hiring Process (All Interviews are 1HR, 5 of them total)
Pre-discussion with recruiter, possibly a hiring manager (15min, casual)
Interview: Real-Time Algorithm coding exam (will be done with a member of the Android team), no pre-work

Interview: System Architecture (Likely will be run by me, unless we are known friends in which case it will be someone else)

Staff role is looking for someone to replace many of my Day to Day capacities in managing the Android team as well as being the customer-driven core voice. If you are technical with an eye for design, detail, and some business acumen this might be an ideal role. If you are someone who is a Staff, but lacking the exposure and leadership experience for Sr Staff or considering the move to EM/TPM later this could be that next right jump.

The Fanatics App is #33 in Sports on Google Play just 6mo after launch and has had amazing success (double and tripled numbers). It's ready to 🚀 and we've done it with no nights or weekends of work with a staff 1/3rd or smaller than the apps we are ahead of like Yahoo Sports, Bleacher Report, and theScore.
