I think their answer is shallow and doesn't address the concerns at all. All they say is "not favoritism based on sponsorship" which we have to believe without any justification and we'll allow the protest. According to me, only the second part of the message is interesting. They should have taken the opportunity to justify his presence as a keynote speaker

The line about "we're OK with the protest as long it doesn't disrupt the proceedings" feels like a half decision too. The whole point of a protest is to disrupt things.

To give the organizers some credit, Block is a huge contributor to the Kotlin OSS ecosystem and I'd still be curious to have the perspective of the block CEO on that.

It's true that the "as long it doesn't disrupt the proceedings" is not really good... Well...
