Ok how the hell do we use this "remote development" feature?

I keep getting the linux is only supported error
BUT IM ON latest EAP, in toolbox and Intellij across both my systems. Yet it cant connect when I use ssh? Windows guest, macos host. How do i set this thing up, there are like zero instructions
