Just a had a quick look into it as I could not recall my reasoning for wanting to remove it (probably to a lack of proper documentation). But I now see that it is better not to remove it. It is thrown whenever a file can not be parsed without errors. For internal processing in ktlint it is not really useful, but it can be quite informative to the API consumer. So the exception will not be removed. Tnx for notifying!
