why is all the hype about compose KMM for the UI but not for essentials like authentication, firebase and crypto not fully KMM?

There can be hype for a thing even though the thing might not be feature-complete or the ecosystem fully saturated with all the libraries and tools necessary 🙂. Hype is for things that fill a specific need for a specific user base. How would you define KMM when you say that "gitliveapp for firebase" is not it? Because the last time I checked, KMM meant Kotlin Multiplatform for Mobile. What four versions are you talking about? By support for desktop, do you mean Firebase or KMP in general? KMP is not a UI framework, and it has full support for a lot of target architectures and platforms. If you mean Compose UI, then that is a different story, and you are right that some targets are in Beta or Alpha phases of development. All in all, either provide some proper constructive criticism or state a real problem you have. Whining about things not meeting your expectations will get you nowhere.
