09/30/2022, 9:10 AMLife is crazy right now but I can provide some context.
The reason for not upgrading automatically was that you might need to do breaking changes before 1.0 and it would be too much stress to have to synchronize the library and the generator every time.
So IMHO the right question to ask is:
What are the breaking changes 0.24.0 and 0.28.0 ?
If there are none and the tests pass I would upgrade.
