Hi everyone! 👋 I'm Soumyajit Chatterjee, a second-year Computer Science student from India, passionate about Kotlin, Gradle, and improving developer experience through better tooling. I recently submitted my GSoC proposal for the project “Clean and actionable reporting for Gradle code quality plugins for Kotlin,” where I focused on integrating tools like Ktlint, Detekt, and Diktat with the Gradle Problems API to deliver more structured, consistent, and IDE-friendly reporting. I'm sharing a copy of the submitted proposal here for reference and would truly appreciate any feedback, suggestions, or thoughts from the community. I'm really excited to be part of this space and look forward to learning and contributing alongside you all! 😌

Thanks for the proposal!
I have to say that it might be difficult to provide feedback before the applications deadline. One question, though. What is your availability during Community Bonding? Only coding phases are mentioned

Thank you for your message! I completely understand that feedback may take time, and I appreciate your response. Regarding your question during the community bonding phase, I am fully available and plan to be proactive. I will use this time to: 1. Familiarize myself further with the Ktlint, Detekt, and Diktat plugin internals. 2. Interact with maintainers and ask for early feedback on integration design. 3. Prepare my development environment and documentation pull requests. 4. Engage actively on Kotlin Slack for questions and community input. I consider the bonding period essential for building momentum and am committed to making the most of it!

Hello Oleg, I just wanted to respectfully point out a small correction in my submitted proposal—there's a typo in my college name. It should be MCKV Institute of Engineering, not "Technology" as written. My sincere apologies for the oversight, and thank you again for your time and guidance!

Thanks for letting me know. It is not a big deal. In my case, I gave up on following updates in my own University's name, and I just keep using the name I like 😄

That's a wonderful perspective; thank you for your reassurance. I truly appreciate your kind response and look forward to the opportunity to learn and contribute under your guidance. 🙏😊👍
