R8 is distributed and versioned as part of Android Gradle Plugin so the release notes are here: https://developer.android.com/build/releases/gradle-plugin

Thanks, wasn’t aware of that page but r8 uses a different versioning so it takes some afford to match it with the AGP release notes using the AGP versioning.

But if you're using AGP, that's the only version that matters. If you're using R8 without AGP then yeah, Google really won't help you sad panda
