Cannot wait to put compose for wear though it's paces, definitely going to be making tiles as well for the smart home app (STRATIS)

me too. Ordered a pixel pro 7 and will get a pixel watch LTE as a gift. πŸ™‚ There is no more excuse for not making apps with compose wear.

Yeah, and I try to use emulators as little as possible, so having official reference HW again is nice
y
@andrew I expect you might still use emulators a bit. Debug builds on devices are quite slow. Wear Compose performance is on par with Views, but only when using optimised builds and baseline profiles. Please remember this when you first try it out with a debug build on device. I believe in all cases we've seen good Wear Compose performance, but it doesn't tend to be the first experience.

Yeah, I never file perf issues on debug builds, I kinda hold that expectation
More akin to an embedded device spec profile
But we also interface with BLE and NFC locks, so having actual HW to test mobile keys with is AWESOME
Pixel Watch arrives Saturday πŸ˜„
@yschimke you were not kidding about debug builds being slow! Or at least scrolling haha πŸ˜†

Nope, at @louiscad suggestion IIRC, we added a warning to the ComposeAdvanced project to explain it in the time text.
