Hi everyone - yes, it’s only the keynote room that will be streamed this year.
We know that this content is important for people in the community who can’t attend in person. We especially appreciate anyone organizing watch parties to spread the word about KotlinConf.
This year, we made a tough decision to focus on a single-track stream. Running high-quality live streams across several rooms is complex and resource-intensive, and we wanted to provide a great experience for remote viewers without compromising quality.
However, we’ll be experimenting with new things within the single stream, including interviews and venue coverage between the sessions, which we hope will bring more of the energy of the event to those joining remotely.
We realize that we should’ve communicated this change earlier and more prominently, that’s on us. Sorry for any confusion or disruption this caused in your plans!
Of course, we’ll still record all sessions, and they will be published on the website in the weeks following the conference, so you and your colleagues will be able to catch all the content.
Thanks again for your feedback, we’ll take it into account for future events.
