Nice! Bike ride for me ๐Ÿ˜€
l
@eenriquelopez Yay! Where will you be starting the trip from? @mbonnin and I are thinking about (recumbent) cycling from the French/Swiss border next to Geneva. If you're coming from West of Munich and timing matches, we could do part of trip together.
e
I live very much in the center of Munich. But happy to join you from Switzerland. Maybe somewhere near the Konstanz lake, how many KM do you cover per day?
m
Sounds like I'll need your e-assist thing @louiscad ;-)
e
So, if you are stopping in St Gallen, Konstanz, or Friedrichshafen, I can go the day before with the bike, meet you there, and then go to Munich together. I guess I can do up to 160 km per day with the bike? Not sure how much you are riding at once.

Bimotal Elevate will help you tackle elevation, @mbonnin ๐Ÿ˜‰
Oh, you're just next! I don't want to drag you into a double dรฉtour ๐Ÿ˜…
I was hinting at 160km a day to Martin, but I have a hard time convincing him that over 100km is doable for him ๐Ÿ˜… The recumbent bike will surely help, and the Bimotal Elevate e-assist can also help, but we might do less, which would mean a bunch of days. The entire one way trip is just over 600km, with a bit less than 3000m elevation overall.
e
Ok, letโ€™s catch up when the time comes, but happy to join. That area is beautiful for biking too.

As a rule of thumb, one hour of car driving = one day of biking.
l
For long distance, with an average bike and average rider, I'd say ๐Ÿ™‚ Like, 160kph average is not quite common by car, for instance, but 160km per day cycling is quite above average already
e
Yeah, with more training and eBikes or Gravels pro then you can adjust more.
Like, 160kph average is not quite common by car
Well, in Germany it is probably the average autobahn speed ๐Ÿ˜…
l
It seems like it's 125km/h according to this German webpage, and Gemini says it's 141km/h on unlimited speed sections.

Baustelle though ๐Ÿ˜‚
