btw looks like storylane doesn't work when using Kotlin 2.1.21

Had same question. Essentially it looks like they have it setup in the repo but somehow work around not possible by having the gallery use hard coded gallery classes?

which is usually generated by the compiler plugin. they override or apply a fake storytale compiler plugin in the build.gradle : https://github.com/Kotlin/Storytale/blob/573fdf2387a46823e838c11e045464660ada5038/gallery-demo/build.gradle.kts#L17

I was looking through that as well earlier and trying to replicate in our project but didn't have any luck. cc @ElliotSknr
