Hi @Rafael Costa, I was wondering if you still planning to support kmp

Hey Jorge šŸ‘‹ I’ve been thinking about this myself. Due to the low availability I have these days, and also given that Google is coming out with a new, much better looking navigation solution, I’m considering more and more to not do KMP. There’s still also a question related to whether or not I’ll do ā€œCompose Destinations Nav3ā€, which would be KMP from the start, but that’s probably not what you wanted and also, regarding that, I need to sit and seriously consider what value would such a library offer. I’m of course open to hear feedback from people using the library. Every little piece of feedback will be a small weight in my decisions šŸ™‚

I understand, there’s a lot to process and consider for the future. Indeed, the new Compose Navigation will be a significant improvement over the current version. Professionally, we are currently using Compose Destinations in our apps at adidas, and in general everyone is satisfied by the experience. For now, we don’t have plans to move our apps CMP. Of course, we will consider and discuss it internally in due time, but if we do, we’ll likely need to either switch to another solution or create our own navigation wrapper. On a personal level, I really like the library and am currently working in a KMP app from scratch. I wanted to keep in mind whether the Compose Destinations library will be something I can use in the near future. I’m aware there are other options available, including those highlighted by JetBrains in their documentation, but I’ve developed a certain affinity for Compose Destinations. šŸ™‚

Thank you for the sentiment! Exactly the KMP version of compose destinations is either for apps that are now Android and use it and they’d like to move to KMP, or for users that enjoy using it and are starting a new KMP app. I had a branch on the comp destinations repo where I started to play with a KMP version and most things were already working… but it’s the typical 80-20 where the 20% left would take 80% effort šŸ˜… . Or at least that’s how it felt back then. Things have improved greatly in KMP space though. You meant to say that adidas apps are not going KMP* right?

They have a part already in KMP, but not on Compose Multiplaform

Ah yes nevermind. CMP! 😁
The holidays are making my brain lazy šŸ˜‚

We are at similar crossroads. Would have to create a wrapper around destinations to make it work in KMP Plus we have UILibs with some already in KMP and some not. I know, its insane. WOULD love KMP support
