When do we get the results of the evaluation for speakers? Should I wait for the result or should I buy the ticket now? In case my talk is declined and there are no tickets available anymore.

I read the thread too, but if we get the results in the following days, buying the tickets (somehow) now and refunding them later is an incredible internal process in my company that I want to avoid.

You can also transfer your ticket to someone in the community in case you get selected, and they transfer you the money without you having to forward it to your company and deal with the process, or you give it to them for free and that's it.

@louiscad Is a transfer of the ticket actually possible? I remember reading in the terms that it's per person and can't be transferred.

That's great news. So that means "Tickets cannot be transferred to another person." on https://kotlinconf.com/registration/ is outdated. That's a relief.

If we can't transfer tickets a team member is ill on that day or quits until next April, we can't give his seat to another one. Would be interesting to know what's the reasoning for the "not transferable" rule. (I understand the non-refundable rule.)

The reasoning was that it as a massive overhead as previously it wasn’t possible to have ti done by the attendee themselves. Now it seems it is possible, but the website hasn’t reflected that. So you can transfer if you like. You should be able to do it via the order confirmation.
