Probably because this isn't the Jetbrains slack, it's the Kotlin slack. I appreciate that they don't put every release of their other products in #announcements.

@nschulzke generally, I agree with you. JB announcements without a Kotlin relationship should not be here.

In this specific case, this announcement relates to Kotlin - it is finally a lightweight IDE that works with Kotlin. So I am glad it was shared here
