I'm a coder with a fair bit of experience (39 years), and would like to work building Android Native apps. I have no professional experience in that particular area, but am very interested to learn. I've been on a project since March 2020 using Kotlin on the back end and React Native for Android/iOS.
Every posting for Android development asks for two or more years' experience. I have the capability - I've demonstrated as much taking positions doing Scala+Spark and Kotlin+React Native with no prior experience, and being successful. In each case, someone at the organization knew me, had worked with me, and knew what I had to offer. In the case of Kotlin/Android Native, I don't have a connection. I'm in the US working remotely, and want to build on the Kotlin base I have to go deeper.
