Koog was built on the foundation of all the AI experience we’ve gained at JetBrains — including earlier projects like Junie, which actually predates Koog. As of now, Junie doesn’t yet use Koog, but Koog is already powering several other JetBrains products.

For example, the JetBrains VSCode plugin is using Koog under the hood. And this is just the beginning — much more is on the way.

In short: yes, we’re dogfooding Koog extensively. That’s one of our biggest strengths — Koog was designed and refined based on real-world use cases from actual JetBrains products and is being actually used in them.
