not sure if this is the correct channel, but looking at https://linuxiac.com/malware-discovered-in-arch-linux-aur-packages/ I've asked arch maintainers and they confirmed that due to licensing preventing redistribution, they can't ship Intellij Ultimate in an official repository; would it be possible for Jetbrains to change this tiny bit so it could be included in the official repos across most Linux distros?

I don't understand, what's the link between the article and the rest of the message?
b
you need to install Intellij Ultimate from the AUR right now because Jetbrains prevents redistributions in their license
the AUR consists of unvetted, 3rdparty packages
c
I know, I'm an Arch user, but the article has nothing to do with this?
What's the licensing requirements for the official repositories? I don't see them listed in the wiki
