Wrote a couple of thousand characters about why I build using Kotlin/JS and why I chose Express over Ktor https://alexstyl.com/blog/why-kotlin-js

Kotlin/js was one of my first targets as well, back in 2018. But at that time there were little job opportunities with Kotlin beyond android, even today nobody uses Kotlin instead of typescript for example, so I took the route of being a Java backend developer and kept using Kotlin only for my side projects. However I want to quit the job and start my first startup too.

How many startups are you guys all doing? What is a definition of a startup? P.s. the intro of the article is doubled and there is a broken link.

I do just one. Your project that makes money (at least in long term) = startup Why ?

agreed that kotlin/js is very specific usecase rn in the industry kotlin is a powerhouse if you understand the underlying platform you are working with (aka u are a generalist) so it works great for working solo
@Arjan van Wieringen thanks for the headsup. fixed

@Dumitru Preguza just terminology. I am used as a startup being an official incorporated legal entity with investments :)

I don't want to spend the time and money to get legal, only to see that the idea does not work. Not sure for an MVP you should become legal, but we agree on one thing - It should bring money, either by investment and/or by revenue

@Alex Styl enjoyed reading your article. It will be great if there was a step by step tutorial for building applications using these app stacks. Also access to GitHub codebase will be greatly appreciated..

@Yogeshvu you know you can probably get a highly personalized step by step tutorial by talking to an llm right? you could probably feed it my article and ask questions etc on it
