I feel like the gh copilot plugin is probably causing me a lot of ui thread lockups in studio. No idea how to prove it though

If you believe it’s the AI features, it would help to try and disable them (usually can be done via Plugins settings), to see if they are truly the issue. Otherwise, it may be something else.

the fact that android studio isn't responding doesn't necessarily point the finger at studio. you could be running up on memory limitations from your system overall — and you are giving us close to 0 information to help except "Android studio is bad"

Finally figured out it was the Jetbrains AI plugin that was causing my studio to have issues. (gut feeling is that it was having network issues because of corpo zscaler config, works fine on my personal machines). No more insane CPU load at idle and UI thread freezing is gone now.
