Since IntelliJ community is replaced by Ultimate, we cannot use KMP plugin - is this intentional?

Hi, KMP plugin for 253 is currently indeed available only in the ultimate version for the EAP. We will provide a version of the plugin for the free version in the next releases.

Does it mean, that the KMP plugin with subscription has more functionality? Is that difference documented anywhere?

There is no plan to diverge the functionality.
