I'm looking at the compatibility table (https://detekt.dev/docs/introduction/compatibility/)

I'm at the latest stable 1.23.8 and kotlin 2.2.20 & agp 8.13.0 (basically all latest stable stuff)

and everything works fine

is this not expected? looking at the table I was expecting too need to use the 2.0.0-alpha.0

That's expected. The table shows the versions in which it was tested.

If you use really new kotlin features then it can break (context parameters for example)

gotcha, so PSA for others, latest stable works with latest stable kotlin
