I’m just trying to follow suggestions to put myself out there and ask for help when I’m stuck after of course doing due diligence to troubleshoot on my own first.

I would expect that such case just works out of the box, or at least there is some kind of doc on developer.android.com which tells how to make it work (for example if it requires changing firewall settings on you OS, or some special config for emulator network)
