I won't miss the global leadership

I anyway never really cared about the global leaderboard, because some of my friends are in different time zones and/or have to still work at the puzzle publish time. But the reduction to 12 days is a little bit disappointing.

it limits how many advent streams @Sebastian Aigner could do 😛
I'm sorta mixed on it - I like getting a mix of different problems and solutions, but I hope we'll still get a good amount of that even with the reduced number of puzzles, and it's definitely better to let this run at a level that's sustainable for Eric
I expect we'll still have the Kotlin leaderboard, which was more interesting than global where you don't know who/what you're up against

I am glad that Eric didn't stop the project completely... After 10 years of this kind of work, it's amazing he is still doing it. Of course, I am afraid that 12 days won't allow really fascinating puzzles that I love most. The ones where you go crazy, start to build a 3D model of a cube or program an Int Code computer that runs games. Those days.... Loved them. Also, I don't know what to do in the remaining 13 days of December. It became such a Christmas thing for me especially those last days and Christmas morning. Now it's all over before it even begins. 😢

2019 (IntCode) was the opus magnum, hard to beat this

At least this season there is a chance that he might do streams for all the days 😉
