I have had zero iOS development experience, but plenty of Kotlin. With KMP I managed in ~1 month to release my app in App Store and gain thousands of happy Apple users. Couldn't have an easier way to do it. (https://blueskytracker.app/)

At Kazyon, a supermarket group with over 1600 branches across three countries, we are migrating our e-commerce app from native Android/iOS to Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP). This move is already making it easier to develop and deploy features for both platforms, significantly elevating the app experience. We're able to take full advantage of our existing Android app's Kotlin codebase, which is a major benefit. We find the idea of sharing code while still building natively where necessary to be very interesting, and it's opening up new ways for us to think about developing our cross-platform super app. google play : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kazyon.customer&hl=en apple store : https://apps.apple.com/us/app/kazyon-plus/id1584830119?l=ar

We at OPENLANE, started with a mature Android app and, over the last seven months, rewrote it in Compose Multiplatform so the exact same UI and business logic now ship on iOS too. The result is our inspection platform, used daily by 2,000+ OPENLANE private inspectors (it’s internal only, so there’s no public link for the app), where Inspection-related screens are all rendered dynamically based on the year/make/model of vehicles. Inspectors snap and annotate photos, capture rich condition data, and even talk to Bluetooth OBD2 scanners in a single codebase. KMP let us keep the velocity we had on Android while opening the door to a new platform without doubling the team. If you’re on the fence about multiplatform, this journey proved to us that you can deliver complex, hardware-integrated apps to both ecosystems with one stack—and that’s a massive win.
