I'm looking for work.
Rivu Chakraborty here, my last job was as Principal Engineer at JioStar (JioCinema / Hotstar), India's biggest OTT player cum streaming app, with over 300+ millions of live concurrent users.
I was leading the Mobile Platform (Devex) team at JioCinema.
I have been in industry for over 13 years (mostly in Android), have been working with KMP for ~6 years, led KMP in JioStar with 200+ millions of users (on prod with KMP). Led Kotlin migration at multiple startups.
Prior that, I have worked with multiple other unicorns from India and South East Asia, including Byjus (used to be India's biggest edtech), Paytm (one of the biggest Fintech from India), Gojek (a super app unicorn from South East Asia, one of the biggest from the region), meesho (an e-commerce cum social commerce unicorn).
I'm also India's first GDE for Kotlin, and wrote multiple books on Kotlin. I'm also a tech mentor for Google for Startup initiative in India.
Currently working with a US based fitness startup which is in a very early stage, however as the contract is to be over soon, looking for new opportunities. Also open for onsite roles in India or Europe (with relocation and Visa support).
