Can anyone guide me on how to build a backend using Kotlin? I'm looking for proper implementation guidelines or a sample project showing how to create APIs and a complete app or web backend using Kotlin.

Backend for what? Backend code is usually trivial, you create a
main()
function and write the code there. If you need a webserver, you can instantiate one (like Jetty), or use something like the Netty library.

The purpose is everytime good to know. But in general, you can start with for example Spring Boot framework. Or, even better, craft something together, like using: http4k, komapper, koin, clikt, test containers etc. Then, either if all components support the native target, compile directly into a native binary, or using GraalVM. Esp. for GraalVM is valid, that you have to use as less as possible runtime magic like AOP as possible. In the best case any.

thanks for that Could you please share any sample with spring boot + Kotlin with proper guidelines and project structure?
t
if you go to spring initializer there is an option to select kotlin to generate the sample code
m
ok thanks for that
