Hello! Does
-Xexport-kdoc
work with Swift Export? I’m asking because in Kotlin 2.2.20 it’s enabled by default, but when migrating to Swift Export the documentation isn’t generated. I assume this also applies to 2.3.0-RC, where the option is enabled by default as well.

Is it on the roadmap?
a
I'm afraid our current public roadmap states that only coroutines are in the works...
We do know that the kdoc support is very important, but I cannot promise any release date for that feature.

I was wondering: since the Swift code generated by swift-objc already includes the KDoc comments, what’s preventing swift-export from doing the same?
a
Well, basically - we need to write that code (objc export and swift export are built on different tech stacks - there is nothing to reuse). And the amount of code we can write is limited, and currently most of that code is written in order to bring the support of coroutines 🙂

ok ok thanks for the clarification 🙂
