Hello, the Multiplatform app runs successfully on iPhone 13 and iOS 26.1 but I get this message in Android Studio, is this some kind of bug in the Studio itself or I need to update some plugins? I also have macOS Tahoe 26.1
z
It's not a bug - 26.1 is indeed not officially supported yet. This is a warning to let you know that you might see some issues when running on that version - but if you have no issues, that's great!
We also have a task open to make this message more obvious https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/KMT-1868

thanks, I’ll take a look. Yeah, so far no issues, the app is still in development, it’s far from reaching production, but good to know. While we are at it, is there a plan for official support in Compose Multiplatform for Liquid Glass ?

What exactly would you want in terms of "official support"? There are several libraries and interop solutions you can already use, such as those mentioned in these threads: https://kotlinlang.slack.com/archives/C0346LWVBJ4/p1760085010727129 https://kotlinlang.slack.com/archives/C0BJ0GTE2/p1760447266412019

Thanks, I’ll take a look. What I meant was something like the official library inside the SDK that is regurlarly updated and backed by JetBrains or Google, because I’ve worked with Flutter and Android a lot, and Flutter still lacks the Liquid Glass suppport in the Cupertino widgets. I’m sorry I’m bringing Flutter here in the picture, but it was the only comparison I can do. I like KMP because we can do native as well, but Compose Multiplatform is what we decided to go because we have strong experience with Jetpack Compose

The main focus of Compose Multiplatform is to provide the same UI experience on all platforms. So at this time, we're not planning to reimplement any iOS-style widgets in Compose code ourselves. Such implementations are inherently problematic because they can easily get out-of-sync with the system implementation as iOS updates happen and the native widget changes, even if you match them perfectly once. The interop APIs with the new
placedAsOverlay
flag should let you use the real native components with liquid glass on top of Compose UI, that's what I'd recommend looking at first. Otherwise, if you want the implementation to be within Compose, you can look at the community libraries that already do this.

ok thanks, but Apple users don’t like “Android” styled applications, hence my question 😄. Nevertheless, we’ll continue as planned now. Thanks a lot for your help!
