if a compiler plugin generates a function in a regular class with no dispatch receiver, is that natively lowered into a static method in the JVM? And would it work for other platforms? Wondering in the context of doing manual staticization in IR rather than always running through object instance fields

Considering that the only real static things supported in the language are enum entries, trying to make static something else would work "somehow" ™️ without any guarantees.
