I've got my TestData tests running and everything is working as expected, but I'm struggling to get the published plugin to work in another project. I can add the plugin to the plugin block in the build gradle file. I can see my annotation, but nothing happens when I apply it.

If you're talking about nothing showing live in IDEA, you need to enable third-party compiler plugins running in the IDE. I wrote the steps out here: <https://github.com/cbrandt77/Kotlin-OverloadableSetters?tab=readme-ov-file#enable-diagnostics>

is this only for dev? or will this be the case no matter for any third party plugin?

hmm so I followed those instructions. The code compiles and runs but in the ide it doesn't see the generated functions and shows an error in ide.

Edit: oh now its showing after I followed your instructions. idk what changed. Still want to know if there is a way for my plugin to function in the IDE without these flags being set.
