I just realized that I've been using
IntInsnNode
instead of
VarInsnNode
(and
visitIntInsn
vs
visitVarInsn
) in ASM for literal years now without realizing. Have I been silently screwing up my programs? Is there a meaningful difference between
IntInsnNode(ALOAD, 0)
and
VarInsnNode(ALOAD, 0)
that I should be aware of?

asm doesn't perform checking but IntInsnNode is incorrect, it is documented to only work with BIPUSH, SIPUSH, or NEWARRAY https://asm.ow2.io/javadoc/org/objectweb/asm/tree/IntInsnNode.html#%3Cinit%3E(int,int)
