Hello everyone, i am trying to use jewel on a personar project but there are some things that i am not sure that are supposed to be like that or that i am doing some mistake First thing about the content without focus, there is a property to change the color of the background once the focus is lost, but i believe that the modern design recomends to change the content color also, is it possible by now? Second thing about the BasicAlertDialog composable, its going over the TitleBar, is that expected? Another comment is that even though it goes over i still can click on action button like close and minimize

Hi, Jewel implements the Int UI design system used by the IntelliJ Platform, and follows its rules
Int UI is "modern design" (it's 3 years old) but it may not be your idea of "modern design" — it's an opinionated design system and you may think differently from it
But it is an explicit non-goal for Jewel to allow extreme customisation of the appearance and behaviour of the components
Second thing about the BasicAlertDialog composable, its going over the TitleBar, is that expected
A picture would help but
BasicAlertDialog
is not a Jewel composable, so no idea how to help there
If you're mixing Material components in with Jewel components, you're in for a painful journey. Jewel is not designed to work with other design system implementations — it is an alternative to Material, not a plug-in for it
As per the Jewel readme, you should explicitly exclude Material dependencies from the build to avoid problems

Its pretty modern to be honest hehe, but i got it, its not the intented behavior for now. I have actually mixed Material and Jewel, my mistake there. Thanks for the clarification!

No problem!
If you cook up something cool let us know, the team is always delighted to see what people do with Jewel 🙂
