Yes, it's already available (check the doc) and you can try the last version of the application in the Nucleus assets. I haven't had time to write the announcement on Slack yet.

Yes, because native Windows apps are written in JavaScript. This is a quick message for those who think there's no difference between a Compose and Electron app: keep in mind that the latency is higher with each click, and yes, you can feel it.

Does windows use Electron? I thought they use React Native

Not Electron, but the principle remains the same. Yes, they probably use React Native, but it doesn't matter; interpreting JavaScript code is still slow.

Yes, with Nucleus, I want to push native integration to the maximum for Compose for desktop, I've already created a module that allows launching a coroutine or a thread on the processor's high-energy-efficiency cores. I would really like this project to be funded; we can imagine some truly wild things. I'd like to port the Android bootreceiver and workmanager to desktop using the same API. I'm looking for a sponsor for that.

I think there will soon be a period of hype for CMP. The Compose integration on iOS is perfect, on Android obviously, and on the web I see that we are getting closer to perfection every day, but on desktop it is very light, we still have the impression that the application lives in its bubble completely isolated from the system. Nucleus is 3 years of development with Compose desktop that I have brought together in a single project.

@seb Thank you very much, I applied last year with Compose Media Player (but my project wasn't selected 😰), and Nucleus didn't exist yet and for the time being grant submissions are now closed.
