I was curious what happens when you build a Compose Multiplatform library and want native Swift/iOS devs to use it
So I tried using UIKit Interop in Compose → exported as XCFramework → plugged into Swift Package Manager.
Now I get a fully native Swift iOS app powered by my Compose UI library. Zero Swift code written.
I get to build once with KMP/CMP and ship UI libraries for:
Jetpack Compose (Android),
Compose Multiplatform and
Pure iOS (SwiftUI/UIKit) and I think I'm going in this direction for a while to do some more.
Caveat: There's a bit of work to be done in making the API feel more native to Swift devs, particularly with SwiftUI.
