Curious about the potential for upgrade, SQLCipher uses the sqlite SupportOpenHelper factory and that seems to being dropped from v3 - will I still be able to use SQLCipher encryption with RoomDb 3.0? My RoomDb 2 setup is currently: if (encryptDb) { System.loadLibrary("sqlcipher") val passphrase: ByteArray = databaseEncryptionKey().toByteArray(Charsets.UTF_8) val factory = SupportOpenHelperFactory(passphrase) _database = Room.databaseBuilder<LibraryDatabase>(context, dbFile.absolutePath).fallbackToDestructiveMigration(true).setQueryCoroutineContext(Dispatchers.IO).openHelperFactory(factory) .build() }

SQLCipher
will have to provide a
SQLiteDriver
implementation, for reference you can point them to this example: github.com/danysantiago/androidx-driver-samples/…/sqlcipher-driver
