I have observed a case where downgrading Gradle from 9.4.1 via `./gradlew wrapper --gradle-version 9.2.1` was not effective with tasks started via IntelliJ IDEA until I restarted IntelliJ. Stopping Gradle daemons was not enough. Does that ring a bell?

<@U0152P3VB5J> At this point, we can't know that it's "not Kotlin". The observation was in a KMP context and there might be issues involved which go beyond "just Gradle".

You said the wrong / stale Gradle daemon / Gradle version was used.
I'd wonder how that would be not "just Gradle". :slightly_smiling_face:

Yes, I'm also not sure. In the end it could be something just holding on to the wrong daemon. And that "something" might be outside Gradle. It's really strange...
