H!. Anyone knows an example of open source Ktor server application using Metro for DI?

we've built a framework around ktor with metro, but it's not open source (yet) 😕

I've explored the idea of creating an integration library but stopped due to time. Would love to see what you got @madisp

I'll create a blog post soon for ktor as a server and then mobile iOS/Android, recently migrated (been using manual DI), might not be as good as a source code but I'll try to cover much

@Hristijan Thanks! Your article is very helpful. I've managed to integrate Metro with my framework and it works 🙂

I think people who say that Spring Boot is "mysterious magic" haven't played with Metro yet 😉

I was a bit surprised by the global object as DI. It doesn't seem like an entirely fair comparison 😅 I am doing manual DI with most of the same benefits and trade-offs as you have with Metro. Small example. I definitely agree that Metro != Spring DI, and Koin now also has the same or similar compile-time guarantees afaik thanks to their compiler plugin. @Tudor Luca nice non-trivial example! 👏

@jessewilson can tell you all about it, I just lurk around & study it 😄

Wasmo’s probably not a very good ktor example project, as we don’t really leverage ktor’s features. In particular, we hooked up our own multibindings-based system so we could use different

in different builds of our system.
