True Liquid Glass for Compose Multiplatform is fresh out of the oven: Compose Desktop root windows and in-window Compose containers can now wear Liquid Glass, with the macOS root-window path refracting the live desktop behind it through a native ScreenCaptureKit + AppKit + Metal backend, heavily optimised for 100% smooth drag motion. The window sees the desktop underneath it: wallpaper, icons, folders, everything, then bends it through a liquid glass shader while Compose UI sits cleanly on top. Possibilities are endless: create your own Spotlight app window with Liquid Glass, make it classy 🪄 Preview: https://github.com/sdfgsdfgd/true-liquid-multiplatform Current shape: • Compose Desktop root-window glass and in-window liquid containers • Shared Compose-content glass path for multiplatform targets • Native AppKit glass fallback when capture is not needed • Permission/status API and automatic fallback mode • Alpha release line: 0.1.0-alpha02 This feels like the first time Compose Multiplatform glass style libraries actually look like they belong in the Liquid Glass era.
